In Udaipur, Rajasthan, two men barged into a tailor’s shop and killed him. Both had also made a video of the murder and called it revenge for the controversial remarks of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad.

Taylor Kanhaiya Lal Sahu was brutally murdered after entering the shop on Tuesday afternoon. The accused also made a video of the incident and threatened Prime Minister Modi. After the murder, the family made some demands. After agreeing to this, Kanhaiyalal’s body has been kept in the morgue. The last rites will be performed after the postmortem. 31 lakh have been given to the relatives and both the sons have also been assured of jobs. ASI Bhanwarlal of Dhan Mandi Police Station has been suspended for negligence.

In a shocking incident, a shopkeeper was beheaded by two men in Udaipur, Rajasthan for supporting Nupur Sharma’s remarks. The murder was recorded on camera and the video went viral.

Police have identified the victim tailor as Kanhaiya Lal. Both the accused have also been arrested by the police from Bhima in the Rajsamand district. Both have been identified as Mohammad Riaz and Ghaus Mohammad. Both are admitting to beheading Kanhaiya Lal in a video. He has also threatened to kill PM Modi in this video.

Mohammed Zubair, the co-founder of the fact-checking website Alt News, was arrested on Monday for a 2018 tweet, in which he had posted a clip from famed filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1983 romantic comedy, Kissi Se Na Kehna.

Delhi Police said the case was based on a Twitter complaint from a user with the username @balajikijaiin who calls himself Hanuman Bhakt. The handle countered a tweet posted by Zubair in 2018, which showed an image of a hotel sign repainted from “Honeymoon Hotel” to “Hanuman Hotel.”

Asiya (name changed) told Ground Report, “I started smoking marijuana. Basically, it was with my friends. I was a teenager and it looked so trendy and hip to me. That’s how I got into it. After that, I started taking pills” But I wasn’t addicted, I did it for fun. I mean, I enjoyed it. But once it started affecting my health I gave up the habit. But I still smoked normal Cigarettes, two or three times a day. It was all just for fun.”

Journalist Mohammed Zubair, co-founder of fact-checking website AltNews was arrested by Delhi Police on charges of ‘promoting enmity and hurting religious sentiments”.

The police filed a new case against him and recorded his arrest. The arrest has been registered by the special cell station IFSO (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations) of the Delhi Police, which deals with cyber crimes, including those against women and children. TNM has learned that you have been arrested under section 153 (deliberate provocation with the intent to cause a disturbance) and section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any kind by insulting your religion or religious beliefs).
